Trinity: Opportunities to Serve
Trinity Presbyterian Church
Opportunities in Outreach and Missions–Please join us!
Throughout the year Trinity provides opportunities for the Congregation and Friends of Trinity to faithfully reach beyond the Church walls to serve:
- Our neighborhood, such as Huffman Elementary science fair and vegetable garden and South High School music program,
- The Anchorage community, such as homeless shelters and the “Blue Christmas” prayer service,
- Church building and spiritual support in remote Alaska Native villages such as inland Inupiaq Anaktuvuk Pass in the Brooks Range, and Yupik Eskimo Gambell and Savoonga on St. Lawrence Island, and
- International missions in several countries, such as Albania and Iran.
Trinity continually expands its endeavors, like engaging high school students to help us communicate Trinity’s relevance to the young using social media.

Calling Greeters, Ushers, Prayer Ushers, and Sound/Media Tech! Our vision at Trinity is to present our very best before God in worship. Worship is sharing a piece of ourselves with those around us as we lift up the name of the Lord in praise. For this reason we believe in using gifts present in the body of Christ not only from Trinity, but Anchorage-wide. Prayerfully consider becoming a part of worship arts ministry at Trinity. For more information contact Susan Lundgren, Worship Elder at email@example.com
Do you love hosting others in your home? Do you have a desire to serve others? Trinity is looking for people to help us become a welcoming, hospitable place. This would entail providing regular opportunities for the congregation to enjoy fellowship activities: sharing food, fun, and friendship with one another. No previous experience needed. Time commitment is flexible and varied, depending on your schedule.
Do you like to bake? We are looking for a few more people willing to bake communion bread. If you would enjoy making this meaningful gift of your time, please contact us.
There is nothing like holding a baby, or playing with toddlers! Wouldn’t you love to have that special time with some little ones? If you are able to serve even ONE Sunday in the nursery, please let us know.
Other Areas of Service
Don’t see something that interests you? There are many areas of service waiting for new ideas and insights. Please let any elder or pastor know of your interests and become an active part of this wonderful church!

Trinity Poured Out in Anchorage:
Alaska, Yukon Presbytery & Anaktuvak Pass
Trinity Poured Out in Alaska:
In the Presbytery of Yukon, there are four distinct language and culture groups: the Inupiat Eskimos are in the north and speak Inupiaq; the Yupik Eskimos are in the west and speak St. Lawrence Island Yupik; in the Interior and South Central are Koreans and English speakers.
Trinity has had a long partnership with the Chapel in the Mountains in Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska. The Chapel celebrated its 50th Anniversary in August of 2009! Anaktuvuk Pass is a small Inupiat village in the Brooks Range, north of the Arctic Circle. As a partner in ministry, Trinity provides financial and in-kind support to the Chapel. In addition Trinity has sent teams of volunteers to Anaktuvuk Pass each summer to provide Vacation Bible School to the children of the village. Teams also travel north at Christmas-time to provide support to the Chapel and village.
Is God calling you to this mission? Please consider joining the AKP Team this year. Your gifts were meant to be shared. Applications are available in the church office. Some scholarships available.
