Serve

Throughout the year Trinity provides opportunities for the Congregation and Friends of Trinity to faithfully reach beyond the Church walls to serve.

Serve the Congregation

Want to get more involved with service to the congregation? We always need help with worship leaders, Sunday school, youth group, Christian education, and buildings and grounds! If you have interest, we have a need!

Serve the Community

Trinity’s commuinty garden provides fresh produce to our local food pantry. The best news? You don’t have to have a green thumb to help!

Serve the World

Trinity has a long history of supporting missions in Alaska and around the globe. In addition to supporting our sister congregation in Anaktuvuk Pass, we support several ministers and missionaries around the world.

Opportunities to Serve the Congregation

Employment opportunitY: co-pastor for Youth & Family ministries

The Youth & Family Ministy Co-Pastor will lead youth in community and mission outreach events with the goals of supporting children and youth in their relationship with God, strengthening the relationship between the youth and families of two congregations, and reaching a wider community through youth-centered events. This is a full-time, in-person, salaried position. Some hours will fall on weekends, some evenings and holidays. This position is expected to share their time between two congregations in the Anchorage area.

Worship Arts

Calling Greeters, Ushers, Prayer Team members, and Sound/Media Techs! Our vision at Trinity is to present our very best before God in worship. Worship is sharing a piece of ourselves with those around us as we lift up the name of the Lord in praise. For this reason we believe in using gifts present in the body of Christ not only from Trinity, but Anchorage-wide. Prayerfully consider becoming a part of worship arts ministry at Trinity.

Fellowship/Hospitality

Do you love hosting others in your home?  Do you have a desire to serve others? Trinity is looking for people to help us become a welcoming, hospitable place. This would entail providing regular opportunities for the congregation to enjoy fellowship activities: sharing food, fun, and friendship with one another.  No previous experience needed.  Time commitment is flexible and varied, depending on your schedule.

Nursery Caregivers

There is nothing like holding a baby, or playing with toddlers! Wouldn’t you love to have that special time with some little ones? If you are able to serve even ONE Sunday in the nursery, please let us know.

Other Areas of Service

Don’t see something that interests you? There are many areas of service waiting for new ideas and insights. Please let any elder or pastor know of your interests and become an active part of this wonderful church!

Anaktuvuk Pass

Trinity has had a long partnership with the Chapel in the Mountains in Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska. The Chapel celebrated its 50th Anniversary in August of 2009! Anaktuvuk Pass is a small Inupiat village in the Brooks Range, north of the Arctic Circle. As a partner in ministry, Trinity provides financial and in-kind support to the Chapel. In addition Trinity has sent teams of volunteers to Anaktuvuk Pass each summer to provide Vacation Bible School to the children of the village. Teams also travel north at Christmas-time to provide support to the Chapel and village.

Is God calling you to this mission? Please consider joining the AKP Team this year. Your gifts were meant to be shared. Applications are available in the church office.  Some scholarships available.
